Reconstructive, minimally invasive “scope assisted” surgery of the shoulder is offered when either acute injuries or gradual degenerative tears result in pain and loss of functional use of the shoulder. Often painful movements go along with loss of strength in certain activities. While many of these can improve non-operatively, if surgery is required, Dr. Kam is trained in the most modern advances to reconstruct shoulder problems to allow recovery. These include instability procedures after dislocations, impingement procedures resulting in tears of the biceps and rotator cuff, and special interventions such as graft procedures and the InSpace implantable balloon.
